Angry high idle

Ive posted on here when i first got my 1999 rodeo v6 2wd but it has run ok since then. it used to have the symptoms of leaking intake manifold gasket(stalling, high idle, etc) but never got that fixed. Since then the rodeo has run decent but the cel has come on a few times but no stalling. The cel will come on randomly sometimes after months and other time days apart(until i reset it). I had it read and it showed code 0101 but recently the cel hasnt come on but the car seems to idle high somethimes and other time idle fine. Also it seems that if i start it and it idles high then turn it off and start again it idles a little lower. I have noticed lately that there feels like a lot of airflow coming up from the engine if i pop the hood when running. Can someone explain if my car is haunted or any suggestions on what to check? Also i was wondering if i should have it diagnosed at a import/domestic shop or go specificly to an isuzu shop/dealer? Let me know any questions you have so that i can give you any more info you need. thnaks for the help
