94 Teg

I need to know if there was a 4 door teg in 94. If so did it come with the B17A or the B18B1? I'm getting ready to do some work on one and the info would be nice to get me prepared.

Re: 94 Teg

The '94 LS and RS were the b18b1, GS-R b18c1. The '92-'93 GS-R had the B17a1.

Re: 94 Teg

Thank You very much! The guy who owned it bought it from a shop that did a crappy turbo install. I'm pretty sure that they would have advanced the timing and may have had the ecu tuned. What kind of damage would he have done if he had taken out the turbo but not replaced the ecu or fixed the timing?

Re: 94 Teg

I don't think there should have been any damage done (maybe caused a bad O2 sensor), but it'd probably just run like ass if it was tuned for turbo. But I would think they would have retarded the timing instead of advanced it, so you might want to check on that.

Re: 94 Teg

well his engine is dead. It died on him during a recent trip to florida. I'm fixing it for him as a welcome home present from the military. I have about 10 weeks. I'm going to take a look at it either later today or early tomorrow. And your right, it would be retarded and not advanced. I don't know what I was thinking. I know he beat the hell out of it and from the sounds of it, the people that owned the shop beat it pretty bad too.
