New igniters and coils but no trailing sparks?
So heres the thing ive replaced the wiring harness, coils, igniters, rebuilt engine, ported to ex-street port, cleaned gas tank, new fuel injectors, and ive only put 100miles on the engine and now the thing wont start! There are no vacuum leaks! Ive done all the unflooding procedures and the trailing spark plugs wont fire? the coils are good and the igniters are good..where does the wires from the trailing coil go? It just wont start...it will rev up to 2,000rpm for 2sec. and then die (when i put ATF or eng. oil in the combustion chamber.....HELP!!!

if it tries to start only when you put atf in the chambers then you need another rebuild...

Re: New igniters and coils but no trailing sparks?
If you are not getting spark on the trailing edge plugs, try this. Pull the spark plug boots off of the trailing plug coils and then crank the engine. You should have a spark going from your coils to the brake master cylinder. If not, double check your coils, input signal, wiring, and ignition switch. If you do pull one of your trailing spark plugs out, reconnect your plug wires and ground the spark plug you just removed to something metal on the engine. Have an assistant crank the engine while the spark plug is grounded. (note- do not hold the plug with your hand or anything metal. You will get shocked and it will hurt.) You should have a blue spark at the plug terminal. If you do, reassemble, you do not have an ignition problem on the trailing side.
If the ignition is good, I would try starting the car again using the flood start method or ATF, whichever works, and try to keep the RPM's up with the gas petal until the engine clears.

this guy is an idiot. ignore him. he's jumping to conclusions way too fast.
i will preach:
dont use ATF. Use marvel mystery oil, its easier on your seals
did you check to see if the plugs were fouled?

That's not suprising. I am assuming that this is a 2nd gen car. Am I correct in assuming that you don't know where the trailing plug wires are going? If so, they are located directly below the leading edge plugs, on the driver side of the engine block.
