97 VW Passat Electrical Issue

Hey everyone,

I am new here and honestly new to cars as well. I have recently been having an issue with my car's low beam headlights, AC, heat, windshield wipers. They all seem to be working together in this problem. Let me explain. A few months ago I took my car in for servicing to why it wouldn't start on some occasions. They ended telling me it was a bad battery and instead of having them do it, I did the battery replacement myself. The car worked excellent once it was done. Then one night driving home my headlights flickered and I thought it was odd and then over the next week they wouldnt work and it was very frustrating. Then I later discovered that my high beams worked and if my dashboard lights are on and I hold on my high beams all of the above works. It just really annoying to have to hold it driving home from work.

I have already checked fuses and they all check out to be fine. Is there anything I can do or check to fix this issue? Perhaps someone else has come across this same issue as me and has resolved it? Thanks for your help.
