Alternator brace

I was having a problem with the alternator mounts cracking on my 95 Formula, which meant that the whole front engine plate had to come off. My mechanic found out that GM makes a reinforcing support for the alternator that connects to the intake. I put that on and it has been fine ever since. I recommend that anyone with an LT-1 check for cracks around the alternator bolts, but even if you don't see any, consider getting that part. You don't want this to happen to you.
