it has a 5.3 and when started has this squeak. as the weather warms it squeaks less, changed the tensioner pulley, that had no affect on it. I am told it might be the water pump???? Help.

changed the serpentine at like 50K and other is the original on the a/c think it is the belts? or belt? The a/c one is long overdue, its the original at 112,000

yeah if them bearings are bad, maybe it would be more prone to squeak under the greater force needed to spin the stuff

anyone have a idea, seems like cold mornings or if it is wet damp it is worse.

My AC tensioner went south and I had more of an annoying grinding sound when it was disengaged, not squealing. Would one of those automotive stethescopes work to find the squeal ?

I tried a new tensioner pulley on the main belt and it made no difference, Have not tried the a/c one though.

put a new a/c belt on and all squeal is gone. I had tried new tensioner pulley on the other belt and new main acces. belt, but it was the little a/c belt doing it all.
