Where to put iPod cable for new HU....
Hi Everybody-
I just ordered an Alpine CDA-9856 with the cable nec. to hook up an iPod for a '93 Camry Sedan LE. It's about a six foot cable. The places I was considering running the cable to were the pocket under the HU or (what I would prefer) the glovebox.
Now the pocket would be by far the easier of the two, simply because all that would be involved would be drilling a hole in the pocket and running the cable through. I have the Camry Service Manual, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how (if it's even possible) to run a cable from behind the the HU into the glovebox. The reason I want to place it in the glovebox as opposed to the pocket is that it's less likely to be nicked (if you can't see it, it isn't there). That and I like to use the pocket for putting my cell in.
If anyone knows how one would go about running the cable into the glovebox, a response would be most appreciated (preferably without having to take off the whole dash). Thanks.
