fuel pump problem fixed itself

I have a 95 f-150 lightning. The fuel pump wouldn't work, I tried everything, I got sick of working on it and just left it sit for a long tome. When I decided to work on it some more the battery wad dead, I charged the battery, which was deader than dead, just for kicks I turned it over, gess what, it started. I have no idea what happened but i'm happy.does anyone have any ideas what made it start, oh it was a lot warmer on the day it started to.
