Hard wiring DC->AC inverter...rasmurym 07-06-2002, 07:06 PM What's the best way to hard wire a DC to AC inverter into my '96 Aurora. Is the fuse box the best way to go? I don't know a whole lot about cars, so please explain... Thanks! onehunglow 09-01-2004, 04:12 PM I did this - purchased a DC-to-AC converter that was intended to plug into the lighter, removed the lighter plug and wired it directly behind the globe box. Then I ran a 110v short "extension" cord from the plug to a flush-mounted plug on the structure between the driver & passengers legs - voila a 110v plug in my car!!! kgatwork 09-01-2004, 05:07 PM You could connect it directly to the battery under the rear seat, with the appropriate gauge wire and fuses. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
