Allright so I just got my '95 Trans Am about two weeks ago, basically its a 5.7LT1 w/83K miles..so anyway I had been going out when I could looking for a good race, recently though its been raining a lot and when the road is wet I usually wouldn't think twice about any high speed fun :shakehead but wouldn't ya know it I'm on my way home from work waitin at a light and next to me pulls up a VW..I look over and see its an R32, suddenly the guy revs his engine but I'm thinkin no way am I doin a drag in this weather, but the guy must've been thinkin the same thing cause he rolls down his window and is like "lets do a start from 40" by now the light has gone green and even though I'm going against my best judgement I'm like why not, so we cruise up to forty and when we're side by side we both gun it, now as expected I lost the back end a bit but I straightened my TA out and I shot foward right up on the R32..I got about almost a car length on him before I hit 100 and slowed down, he pulls up gives me a thumbs up then turns off at the next light..all in all it was pretty awesome being the first race I've run in my new car, but I'm really glad I didn't hit a puddle or something and go flyin off the road :uhoh:

Nice race, if you would have started off from a stop you probably would have just sat there spinning your tires. Nice car, how much did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking?

You weren't spinning your tires at 40?

Aren't R32's AWD? Bad move on his part - going from a roll.

Nice kill.

Quote from the TA guy: "now as expected I lost the back end a bit but I straightened my TA out and I shot foward".

i'm gonna have to agree :naughty: ..but yeah f-bodies are too powerful for the rain,, if i go WOT at anything less than 50 on a wet road my tires just spin forever,, and my tires are only a few weeks old

good kill tho :bananasmi on a dry road you would've gotten a bigger lead
