OBDII scanner
99 passat 1.8t. I just bought OBDII scanner from canadian tire $250. Cleared check engine light, but before i got two codes P1338 and P1426. People, get this equipment. If you pay $80 for diagnostic, buy it. It will solve you 3/4 of your problems. It's really great. No check engine light, and I know what is it, too:
P1338--CMP Sensor bank1 open circuit or short to positive
P1426--Tank ventilation valve open circuit
The only thing I do not know, what they are and can anyone tell me what to buy or check and where; please advise.
I tell you--I feel great now. At least electronical part is a little under control. I say again, get that part, it's good for 1996 and up cars ALL.
