Comments on 03 ZR2 Blazer ?

So long Jimmy forum, Hello Blazer forum.
After developing a manifold gasket leak in the Jimmy I decided it was just time to buy a new truck. I got the 03 ZR2 with 24000 miles on it.

Any known problems or weak spots on this truck ?

Re: Comments on 03 ZR2 Blazer ?

Well, as we all know the Jimmy and the Blazer are pretty much the same. So you can expect the problems you had with your jimmy to also happen to your blazer somewhere down the road. I'm assuming that your jimmy was a newer model. I see that you said your intake manifold gaskets went bad. Well my 98 blazer has about 170,000 miles and the intake manifold gaskets are bad. (which i'm in the process of replacing)

But the first thing i would do is replace the rad cap with a new one. The factory one's are known to let air in the system which isn't good. Other than that you should be good to go for a while.
