Door Speakers
I am wondering how to get to the front door speakers in my 2003 Silverado Ext Cab. Can I just pull the grill off, or do I have to remove the whole door panel? What is the size of the stock front/rear speakers? My stereo is stock right now, except for the CD player, which will be dvd soon. I know quite a bit about car stereos, but this is my first truck. I have always had cars or SUV's. So any help with what I should install for front/rear speakers/subs/etc, would be great. I would really like to know of a good box for two 12's. Thanks.

Re: Door Speakers
Sorry, the panels have to come off. Remove the panel around the handle and the lock switch high on the panel. Then remove the screw covers at the front and back of the panel. Remove the screws, one in front, one in back, and one next to the door handle. Then lift the door panel gently. You will need to remove the wires to the lock/window controls and you are done. Simple to do, even with beer on hand......

Re: Door Speakers
6 1/2" with 1" speakers up front and 5 1/4" speakers in the back. I just replaced mine fronts with Polk Componets. they sound great! next will be to replace the rears. I may go with Kickers for that. then it will be the subs and head unit.
