Hello there, i took my girlfriends 1999 Camary to the dealer for a maintence check because the car haven't beend driven for 2.5 yrs.

After the check-up the service advisor told me that there is a crack in the front exhaust pipe and that it was coverd by warranty.

So i left it there for the day, then after my girl friend got the car back she is telling me that the engine noise is louder than before. Is this normal.
What could have happed?

My girlfriend took the car back to the dealer and the technician told her that he did what was on the service sheet.

Exhaust is not installed correctly. Blown / re-used gaskets is the normal case.
