Body Kits for 99 Escort
What´s up everybody? I was wondering if anyone knows about some sites for the escort body kits, 99 to be specific. So far I´ve only found 2 kits, and they´re all right, but I was wondering if there was more than that, it´s for my sister, she´s been wanting one and me and my brother in law are trying to buy her one, but we want to make sure that we´ve seen all our options. I´d appreciate it if someone could help me, thanx, pe@ce out.:alien:

Unfortunately Escorts are lagging in the performance aftermarket industry, so I'm afraid you won't find many more kits specifically for the Escort. If you don't like what you can find, your best bet would probably to modify a Civic kit, which are similar in size and readily available.

Check out
http://www.andysautosport.com/ford.html
They have a "zx2 bomb kit" and a "zx2 shogun kit"
I am starting to like these escorts more and more as i see them, personally i wouldnt tamper with the stock lines TOO much, but i like a suptle approach to moding cars!
Hope that link helped

Kits for Escorts
I disagree, in the UK there are tonnes of after market products for escorts. It all depends which one you have. I admit most of the bodyshops will do custom jobs. your'e best bet is to draw something you like and get it made.

You're right, Escorts have a large following in the UK, however, I believe V-Tech 606 was referring to the North American market Escort, which is a completely different car based on a Mazda 323 platform. North American Escorts have yet to really catch on in the aftermarket industry, so we can only dream about them being as popular as they are in the UK

I like the bomb kit, it looks pretty mean and gives a good clean rice look. And ford racing does have some decent mods for the newer engines. Granted the market isnt as good as like the 289 or 5.0, there still is some.

here's the one question that should have been asked first when going to answer this, you stated escort, which is the 4DR version. the ZX2 started out being a sport badge, but in reality, shared very little with the 4dr, so thats why it has become its own. I believe the first year of the zx2 (98? 99?) was the only year it was called the escort zx2.
so, do you have a 4dr escort, or is it the zx2?
