I don't think any of the cleaner could get in there so this is why I'm sceptical about this possibility but it really does sounds like when you spin a skateboard wheel that has a really worn bearing, but a lot louder on the left hand side of the engine...

Sounds like could be idler and / or tensioner bearings.
When I replaced the timing belt at 120,000 miles, I had new bearings on hand, both of the old bearings made noise when turned by hand.
These are all on the left side.
Seems less likely to me, but possibly could be a water pump bearing also - in that case would suspect you'd see slight leakage first.
Don't think cleaning the butterfly valve would have any affect on this.

If you decide to go to the next step, the factory service manual has steps for cleaning the throttle body off the car. When you do that you can get the vacuum ports for the EGR modulator, and adjust the throttle position sensor which most likely will result in further improvements.

Another simple but effective improvement you can make without removing anything is to check the throttle for full open at wide open throttle. Take a concrete block and short length of 2x4 to press the gas pedal to the floor, then check the throttle body and adjust as necessary to get it fully open. Then be sure it also closes fully when you release. I my case the wide open needed adjustement, but there was ample cable slack to allow fully closed.
