Mike mike if you find out i would like to know as i have this problem in three cavaliers i own . what does it look like i need help too thank for any help mike2004tct 03-11-2006, 09:58 AM Did it last year to my Daughter's car. Took a little over an hour to do. Removed the passenger seat so I could get up under the dash confortably. The part cost $28.00 at a local Car Quest, Auto Zone's supplier discontinued there's, and Advance auto parts needs 3 days to get the part shipped. The p/n generic number is RU44 (Advance Auto,Car Quest, Kragen, Parts America ). You remove the lower dash panel cover (under the glove box), remove the blower fan(3 screws and a connector), then the resistance unit(2 screws and a connector). You will have to be quite nimble, almost a contortionist, to get at the back screw of the resistance unit, a long needle nose pliers did the trick for me. muff34 03-11-2006, 10:02 AM mike if you find out i would like to know as i have this problem in three cavaliers i own . what does it look like i need help too thank for any helpI`m not Mike but it is the BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR that is giving you the grief, Simple D.I Y repair job. Actually purchased the part from the dealership for $32.00 plus tax! The cheapest I found it here (Jacksonville Florida) at any part store was $28.00, but it was a special order item. It took about 45 mins to change. Hope this helps someone. Mike kimbergross 03-18-2006, 02:12 PM mike thank for info kimber vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
