Cool Re: 83-86 camry engine swaps (questions)

Now I really don't want you to think I'm being mean, but I'm not. I just want you to understand how ludicrous your post is.
Ok...
OMG kid!?

1) There is a lot of information around on engine swaps because it's always the *same* information said when people ask on any Camry forum. You need to search & do some of your own research to understand the general idea first.
2) WTF!? Why would you think about putting a weak Honda engine in your Toyota; when every performance oriented & half the modern general production Toyota engines dominate the pee out of any equivalent Honda engine, in any possible way of rating them???

Go buy a civic hatch, or a crx if your wet dreams are B seires engines.

To answer the question:
You can't use the i6's, or the crazy v8's... Don't even go down that road. *Anything else* is possible with time & skill, or lots of money.

The easiest options to develop 300-400+bhp would be:
3s-gte swap
3vz-fe swap with a turbo
2vz-fe swap with a turbo
Built 3s anything with a turbo manifold

You'll also need a new transmission. Either an E-153 M/T swap, or a built A540-E A/T.
