Toyota cavalier???? WTFWS-Enterprise 03-05-2006, 10:01 PM :banghead: I was checking up on another website and a guy had a book that said toyota cavalier... I think it was a catalog not sure though...anyone else heard of it?http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/3175/cavman3yx.jpg bh04 03-05-2006, 10:09 PM Yes. Toyota's version that is sold across the sea. OverAllComa 03-05-2006, 11:15 PM U.S. built vehicles that're right hand drive, badged as Toyota's and sold in Japan. Do a google search and you can find them for sale through importers. Came with nifty options I'd have loved to see on the U.S. Cavaliers, such as leather wrapped steering wheels and shifter. A common mod is to swap out out DOT Spec taillights for JDM OEM taillights from the Toyota Cavalier. You can get them through GMPartsDirect. WS-Enterprise 03-06-2006, 12:36 AM I wonder if I could purchase a whole dash kit and convert my cavi to a right side driver... do you think it could be done? cause the highest i seen in the toyota cavi's was 99 but i have an 03. You do realize that more than the dashboard determines which side of the car you drive from, right? The amount of time and custom work you'd have to put in to make a RHD conversion is essentially cost prohibitive in comparison to just importing a toyota cavalier and making that meet US DOT specs. Additionally, there' s a good reason you can't find an 03 Totota Cavalier, they don't exist. Just because the U.S. kept making 'em, doesn't mean Toyota kept buying 'em. Toyota Cavaliers sold for crap in Japan. Classicrocjunkie 03-06-2006, 12:46 PM Old news.... http://www.fullthrottlemotorsports.net/roster/JoshPics/Interior022706.jpg http://street-line.net/images/toy_cav/firewall.jpg Just an FYI, not even the guys who have done / are doing the swap give many detailed pointers to EACH OTHER. Let alone anyone else. This IS a mod that is expensive, needs extensive planning and resources and if done incorrectly, could alter the safety of the vehicle... Other than that...There has only been like 2-3 successful conversions... Good luck and hope your pockets run deep my friend. WS-Enterprise 03-06-2006, 07:10 PM I understand that it is exspensive, it is only an idea...having one imported isnt a bad idea... but who accually sells them and can get it all setup to ship? Classicrocjunkie 03-06-2006, 11:58 PM Contact streeline... as for importing them.
