92 Jimmy codes 32, 43, 45

My Jimmy is showing codes for the EGR, The Knock Sensor, An O2 sensor and now one for the ECC canister.

The O2 sensor i am not worried about as I can fix it myself. The EGR and the knock sensor seem to be big problems. I had a blazer wich Had the same problem and I replced both componets on it and they continued to show Errors. Now with the ECC showing an error I am wondering if it would cause the others to act abnormal as they all seem to basically have the same symptoms.

Any help with this problem to save me time and money would be helpfull thanks

i don't know what kind of code reader you have, but go after the first code first. most sensors and the dtc, the first is 85-90% the culprit. if you can clear your codes with your reader, and after R&R the 02 sensors, run it up and check again. thje egr ain't hard to R&R either, knock sensor, can't help you there never had that one, ecc canister, ??? didn't know they went bad.
good luck.

Re: 92 Jimmy codes 32, 43, 45

The ECC canister you can Normally take the filter out of and just replace it. Mine has no way to remove the Filter as it is all one piece and all the part stores tell me it is a speacial order part as they are no longer sold. (go figure) Knock sensors aren't really hard to remove just a pain in the A$$. The EGR granted the removel isn't hard to do but I think it's a pain. Now the kicker of all of this is that all the symptons from the ECC are the same as the EGR and knock sensors.

I am not using anything to pull codes just a jumper and counting the flashes. I cleared the Computer out and went for a drive and the only code that came back into the system was for the ECC. I can smell the fumes and I am almost sure it is the problem. The other codes have also came back after more driving but I think the symptoms from the ECC are causing them to be erratic.

I am just posting this as I hope someone else has had this problem and knows a soulution. So any help is good and i'll accept all i can get.

Thanks alot
