My 16 year old drives the Tribute (has had for 1 year) and today/tonight it will not go in reverse. When attempting to engage the gear, the response is much like in neutral. Any ideas? or similar experiences?

Stick or Automatic?

It is an automatic.

If you haven't fixed yet, make sure it is not linkage. If there are trouble codes, retrieve them. Otherwise it is in the transmission. Please let us know what happens.
