1898 Camry timing

I have just replaced my 89 camry 2.0l timing belt and seals behind the pulleys. The camery has jumped timing and I need to let the top of the engine know where the bottom of the engine is at. I cant seem to find any marks to set the pulleys. So, I need a little help on how to set this up and put the timing belt on. Anyone know the next few steps I can take to align the cam and crank. Thanks bros!

Hi. 2S-E engine: the crankshaft pully needs to be on TDC mark. The Cam pully has a "e" mark and needs to be straight up top. 3S-fe engine: the mark on the edge of the crankshaft pully needs to be straight up with the carnk pully at TDC

Re: 1898 Camry timing

These typographical mistakes are one of the main reasons for referring people to the manuals instead of typing the information into a post. The manual will never change.

Re: 1898 Camry timing

Brian, Thanks for the help with my Camry. Sorry I am dislexic. I am ko now. the doctors are all full of sb. I am not having much luck in searching for the manual you referenced on this forum. I have more questions about timing and would like to search the manuals. Can you please send me a brief map of how to find specific manuals. thanks-flybeyes
