f350 brakes and cab lights

I own a f350 4x4 superduty. I think the brakes are inadequate for towing. I really have to stand on the brakes to get it to stop in a hurry when not towing. When I do tow, I adjust the trailer brakes to help slow the truck, so that is not an issue yet. I'm running a little larger tires than stock. Should I upgrade the brake rotors, or adjust in some other way? I do not have cab lights on this truck, and would like to add them if possible. Is there a kit available to do this, with templates, or do I have to borrow one of my buddies trucks to get the messurements? Thanks.
