I completed this recently, no progress pics as I made this a rather quick build. The color is TS-51 Racing blue, shot out of the can, which I messed up once, putting the clear on too quick pulling the blue down and making the basecoat show through. So then the hardest work on the project was trying to get all the paint off, which was a royal pain in the ass. I have stripped paint before but this gave me trouble taking about a week of DOT3 bath and continuous brushing with a toothbrush. I made this rather simple as far as modifications. I scratchbuilt the front bumper guard, the wheel spacers, and remote reservoirs on all four corners. I then scratchbuilt the enclosures for the sound system, as well as made new coil springs out of solder in the rear. I sourced parts from an old Revell CJ I had sitting around and used the rear skid plate, the transfer case plate, wheels, and winch. I enjoyed this build a lot and am pleased with the outcome. Comments welcome. Thanks for looking.

That looks really good. It is nice to see a 4X4 every once in awhile. I am currently working on a Ford F-350. I am trying to "baja" it out and lift it. Goodjob, and those scratch built parts look great.

Gorgeous! That's a cool truck. I really dig all the lift and how well executed it all is. It's just awesome. Top work!

Thank you for all the comments.

chyknees: If you mean the rear skidplate, no I stole that from the Jeep mentioned. The front plate on the bumper however was scratchbuilt.

They are from a DubCity diecast, stripped of the chrome and painted.
