"Squaeky fan belt suburban"

1993 Suburban 2500 engine is 454, fan belt squeaks, if replaced it is fine for about 2000 miles, has been like this since new in 1993, dealer has no idea as to how to solve. drives wife crazy.

Re: "Squaeky fan belt suburban"

Get a Goodyear Gatorback Belt. They work well in my F-150 (I know this is a Chevy Forum BUT!) and haven't had a squeal for 2 years now, nor have any squealed in any vehicle I've put them in. Make sure all the pulleys are SQUARE and INLINE and replacethe tensioner. It may be weak causing a slippage.
