2000 Z-24 Battery Leak

I have a 2000 Z-24 with less than 50,000 miles and (had)the original battery. The car would not turn over, so i took the battery out and had it checked. Replaced battery and went about my business. Within a month, my wife called and told me she had no headlights. I took it to the Chevy dealership and was told the wiring harness had been eaten up by battery acid (from the original battery). I have since been told that group 75 batteries had a problem of leaking acid from the positive post. Have any of you heard about this or had the same problem?

Thanks

Re: 2000 Z-24 Battery Leak

Get a Duralast or Duralast Gold...fantastic stuff, lots of CC Amps, and in the 4 months Ive worked at Autozone and sold probably close to 100 batteries, never seen one have a problem that wasnt because the owner screwed somethin up!
