help

i am working on my uncles truck. It is a 88 1500 5.7 350 4x4 regular cab chevy. It has about 180,000 miles on it. And every once in a while when you are driving the gauges will jump around. Do you gys have any idea what it could be?

Re: help

Could be bad Ignition switch or bad connection at the battery--Does this happen when you hit a bump? or when the road is smooth.Gauges all jumping at once usually means an interruption of electrical current. Hope this helps.

Re: help

You are losing power to the gauges-Look for a bad ground or a loose connection somewhere-Probably not any burned wires. Maybe bad connection at back of instrument panel. Electrical problems are the hardest thing to fix on any vehicle. Good luck!
