help97cavalier 02-26-2006, 08:06 PM i am working on my uncles truck. It is a 88 1500 5.7 350 4x4 regular cab chevy. It has about 180,000 miles on it. And every once in a while when you are driving the gauges will jump around. Do you gys have any idea what it could be? mbumgua 02-27-2006, 10:19 AM Could be bad Ignition switch or bad connection at the battery--Does this happen when you hit a bump? or when the road is smooth.Gauges all jumping at once usually means an interruption of electrical current. Hope this helps. 97cavalier 02-27-2006, 06:03 PM it does it just when you are driving down the road. So what should i look for? burnt wires and stuff like that? mbumgua 02-28-2006, 09:35 AM You are losing power to the gauges-Look for a bad ground or a loose connection somewhere-Probably not any burned wires. Maybe bad connection at back of instrument panel. Electrical problems are the hardest thing to fix on any vehicle. Good luck! 97cavalier 02-28-2006, 12:50 PM ok, thanx alot, i will look and give you a update. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
