I can't say for sure due to lack of owning the 4-cylinder motor, so hopefully someone else is more inciteful. I will, however, say that on the 3.1 motors it was insanely straightforward, just a metal housing that was attached to a hose that came out of the radiator. Bam, simple. Two bolts out, replace thermostat and put on a new gasket, replace bolts, done.
