It will move before it warms up but after about 5 mins. it feels like it loads ups. Any ideas. Appreciate it, George horse482 02-21-2006, 02:07 PM Does the check engine light come on? When was the last time you gave it a full tune up? Could be the torque converter locking up when it is not suppose to, what tranny is in the truck? fornia 02-21-2006, 02:46 PM Thanks for the reply, Horse. The check engine light is on but it has been on for several months. The engine is a standard automatic . I don't know much beyound that. The truck is a retired contruction truck from my son's business with 231, 000 mi. on it. It just sits most of the time and we use it for hauling trash to the dump. It probably could use a tune-up but the mechanic is 60 miles away. horse482 02-21-2006, 04:29 PM I would find out what code is stored on the computer, it could point you in the direction of your problem. Also need to know exactly what tranny is in the truck. A tune up could fix the problem if you have had a wire burn or there is a plug that has carbon tracking on it, cap could be cracked, or other related problems. Crasen 02-21-2006, 09:03 PM this link http://www.troublecodes.net/GM/ will tell you how to get trouble codes out of it, I would pull the code, reset the computer then see if the code will come back, that will tell you if the code is old or reocurring vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
