4 wheel drive noise

I own a 2005 Pathfinder with 42K on it. Recently I had all of the brakes pads replaced and now everytime I shift from 2h to 4h i have aclicking sound cominf from the left front tire. If I am in the proces of turning, then the noise becomes louder. Could the 4h be inadvertently damaged or misaligned while the brakes are beiong replaced and if so what can be done to get the 4h back in proper operating condition,
