96 grand am

ets
i have a 96 grand am the ets off light in always on .it only goes off in park.i can press the button to turn it on still says ets off any ideas

The button might be broken, can you tell that the ETS is working on and off? (with the light just on)
Hav you tried getting the codes scanned to see if thier is something wrong with the ETS?
That might be a good idea.
