I have a 2003 4Runner SR5 4wd V8. Just recently my A/C light (on the selector knob) was flashing. Checking the manual, it just says that there is something wrong and take it to a dealer. I would rather not spend the money to take it to the dealer if I didn't have to. It seemed to happen only on the when it is cooling. I tried the heater and it didn't shutdown.

I know that there are a number of problems that "could" be the issue, but I was wondering if there are any Toyota Techs out there that have seen any common problems with the 4th gen A/C unit.
