Question need info!!!

I was just offered a job doing minor touch up painting on vehicles. I have been detailing at a car dealership for a few years now, so i can wetsand and buff, but have no idea on painting. My new boss is sending me to a place i beleive called colortech for a week of training to learn. However, i dont want to go there and be clueless. So i was wondering if there are any good websites and books that would help me out with the basics. Advice is greatly appreciated! thanks!

Re: need info!!!

Hello, I just joined this forum. In fact this is my first post. I painted my first car in 1971 and I've shown a few guys how to handle a paint gun over the years. I think the fastest way to get your instructors respect is to tell him flat out that you don't know how to paint. He will appreciate your honesty and he (or they) might go out of thier way to show you things you might not have been taught otherwise. Best of luck.
