renault f1 on top gearGForce957 02-13-2006, 10:36 PM Many of you have seen the top gear track where the Stig tests each car. Best time I've seen was 1'19 by the Ferrari Enzo. Until now :naughty: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-227007084461396832&q=top+gear lickem 02-13-2006, 10:41 PM could of been alot faster than that with a better driver DinanM3_S2 02-13-2006, 11:01 PM could of been alot faster than that with a better driver :lol2: Heikki Kovalianen (Renault's test driver) actually admitted that he was driving it as the Stig in that episode. It doesn't get a whole lot better then him. Maybe if Alonso was driving you would be happy? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Stig CBFryman 02-14-2006, 10:32 AM isnt the stig just w/e pro driver they can get at that time? -The Stig- 02-14-2006, 11:31 AM isnt the stig just w/e pro driver they can get at that time? would make sense. DinanM3_S2 02-14-2006, 01:27 PM Back when we had the black Stig, its was former F1 driver named Perry McCarthy. There are all sorts of rumors about who the present one is (Tiff, Damon Hill, Ben Collins (F3), or Julian Bailey), while nobody but the Top Gear leadership knows for sure. There is no reason to doubt that 90% of the time the Stig has been the same person, not just some random driver. -The Stig- 02-14-2006, 02:11 PM Tiff? Really? I find it weird that Tiff would be the Stig, if he works on a competing program now. (5th Gear) CBFryman 02-15-2006, 01:32 PM HOLY BEJESUS...i want able to watch it at school (damn school secutiry) and i was at the girls house after work yesterday.... a full 20sec faster than an enzo on a semi wet track. That just puts how fast F1 cars are even more into perspective. lickem 02-16-2006, 05:34 PM :lol2: Heikki Kovalianen (Renault's test driver) actually admitted that he was driving it as the Stig in that episode. It doesn't get a whole lot better then him. Maybe if Alonso was driving you would be happy? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Stig ill never be happy :( Schumacher or nothing CBFryman 02-16-2006, 05:54 PM Schumarker + Dry track = under 55 :) CassiesMan 02-16-2006, 06:50 PM Schumacher+Dry Track+Ferrari= under 55 CassiesMan 02-16-2006, 06:56 PM Oh, and the Zonda F has the fastest road car track time last time I checked. TheStang00 02-16-2006, 07:07 PM makes you wonder how fast other race cars would go, such as IRL, champ car, and nascar... CBFryman 02-16-2006, 07:20 PM Nascar i imagine wouldnt me much better, if at all, than an Enzo. More about raw power and weight on the left side ofthe vehicle...lol. CassiesMan 02-16-2006, 07:22 PM I didn't know you could turn left AND right in NASCAR. GForce957 02-16-2006, 07:38 PM Whats the zonda's time? I didn't see it up there when they showed the list, i guess they tested it later TheStang00 02-16-2006, 07:40 PM Nascar i imagine wouldnt me much better, if at all, than an Enzo. More about raw power and weight on the left side ofthe vehicle...lol. well i meant a car that was set up for watkins glen or infineon. not an oval car, i know your not a nascar guy so idk if you know... but they make cars dedicated to road courses when they race them. they are totally different in their setup from an oval car. CassiesMan 02-16-2006, 08:09 PM Whats the zonda's time? I didn't see it up there when they showed the list, i guess they tested it later 1:18.4, the Enzo was at 1:19.00, and the MC12 did 1:18.90 DinanM3_S2 02-16-2006, 08:10 PM Here is a link to the lap times http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear/powerlaps/ 1) Zonda F - 1:18.4 2) MC12 - 1:18.9 3) Enzo - 1:19.0 lickem 02-21-2006, 09:26 PM We only list road-going cars, so the F1 car (0.59.0), Aston Martin DBR9 (1.08.6) and Sea Harrier (0.31.2) are not on the board. what the hell is the sea harrier? -The Stig- 02-21-2006, 10:24 PM what the hell is the sea harrier? Maybe this'll remind you. http://stellarlink.org/personal/aircraft/attack/a8 http://www.neptunuslex.com/wp-content/iblogimg/av8.jpg GForce957 02-21-2006, 10:52 PM Anyone got the vid for that?? -The Stig- 02-21-2006, 10:57 PM http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=Top+Gear it's somewhere on there...
