Paint

Hey I have a 2000 Sable LS and it is painted stock white. I would like to paint the car a different color but am on a low budget. I think the wheels would look terrible if I bought some chrome rims because white on chrome just wouldn't look good. I was wondering if it's possible to paint the wheels black just to look better against the white car, and the black would also match the tinted windows and sunroof. Please respond telling me if it is possible and if so, what materials would i need and which type of paint I would use. Thanks for replies in advance.

Re: Paint

yes, you can paint them

to make it look good the steps are the same as painting a car
sand, prime, sand, paint, sand, paint, buff

Re: Paint

Or if you want something more durable than paint, you could have them Powder Coated. It provides your wheel with a durable finish which resists cracking, peeling, fading, or marring. Powder Coating offers excellent uniformity without sags, drips, or other surface irregularities....or so they say ha ha
