camber question for 05 evo 8crx2034 02-12-2006, 12:28 PM i have an 05 evo 8 with about 14500 miles. It is actually my wifes car and she mainly drives it. The tires are already in need of being replaced because of too much negative camber. It is completley stock. a tire shop said that camber is not adjustable and the mitsu dealer says that it is a high performance car and that is the price i pay for it. I think the dealer is full of sh*t. the tire looks fine except the inner 2 inches. I do not want to replace tires every 15000 miles. who is telling truth? MechanicDock 02-23-2006, 04:08 PM You can change the camber with adjustable strut screw, which replace the stock strut lower bracket screw. The A046 is soft enough to wear out quickly. Evo's toe in is pretty steap as a OE setting. You may loose the steering responce but little tow out sometime save the life of tires. Hi CRX, The EVO's camber is adjustable both front and rear. On the Front, the adjustment is made at the top screw on the lower strut mount. The camber setting is -1 deg if the arrow on the screw head is pointing inboard and is -2 deg if it's point outboard. For the rear, the camber adjustment range is -1 deg +/- 14'. The adjustment nut is the bolt holding the lower arm to the rear cross member. CW gives you more + camber, CCW gives you more - camber. You will need to adjust rear toe after you adjust rear camber. Have fun with your EVO. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
