2006 CC LS upgrade questions.

Being that it's so new, I don't know if previous year models would be the same answer or not, so....

I have the mirror that notates airbag on/off. Can I simply unplug it and plug in the temp/compass mirror and it work? Or, do I need to run a sensor for the temp? Or is the wire already ran and I just need to plug it in?

Fog lights - is this truck pre-wired for fog lights or do I just need to start from scratch? I bought a brush gaurd and if I have to go from scratch I may put them on it to keep from cutting the trucks valence (I think that's what that black plastic thing is called )

Console - Can I simply remove the middle seat of a split bench and replace it with a center console?

Any help is appreciated.

Re: 2006 CC LS upgrade questions.

If there is a switch for fog lights on the dash then it is pre wired, if not then you will have to start from scratch. As far a mounting them, you won't want to mount them any higher than 30 to 36 inches from the ground depending on the brand. The closer to the ground the better they work. I have mine mounted on my grill guard, they seem to work fine. As far as the mirror I think that you will need to get a sensor and rewire, but not sure though. On the console, you should be able to do that if it is a 40-20-40 split, you will just have to find one that will fit, or make one fit.

As far as the foglights, you might not have the wiring intalled already...I've never heard of thta before, but your BCM might be programmed for them already. Which means, you can buy a kit off of ebay and install it and have it work just like normal w/o having to get the dealer to flash the bcm to activate them.

Most of the trucks are prewired for the other mirrors.....Just look at the plug and compare it to one on the mirror you want. I know in the 99-02 the wiring harness is just tucked up into the headliner.

the temp compass mirror should work just by swapping it. I did the same on mine and it worked just fine, however the compas takes a day or so to adjust , but the temp sensor is built in in 06's.
