Friend wants kitcar that builds off a donar vehical ... suggstions ?

ok, so a friend of mine wants something extra sporty this summer, hes actualy saving for a new evo, but ive started tlking him into a kitcar of some sort

he doesnt want a roadster / convertible, he prefers things that can easlily be drivin even on the crudiest of summer / spring days

ive started talking him into a factory five type 65 (daytona coupe) which builds using the late 80's early 90's stangs

can anyone think of anything that fits the above requirements and isnt horribly expensive? $25k is the limit ... cheaper is better
