I don't understand the question. Why wouldn't there be a Z71 on the side? You're payin all that extra cash at the dealership for the sticker.....right?

Me too, and that was part of the reason for me asking. I had the 1st style and I ordered the 2nd style and swapped them.

Re: Whats the deal with Z71 decals on NBS trucks?

I was told last year when I started shopping for my truck, That starting in '05 you could buy a Z71 in two wheel drive. He said if it says "off road" it's a 4x4. If not, it's a 2x4. Anyway, the only two wheel drive Z71s I've seen are the Colorado style trucks.
Joe

P.S. Mine has the second type decal.

Thumbs up Re: Whats the deal with Z71 decals on NBS trucks?

The first is the decal that is put on the 99 NBS and 00 z71's, both Chevy and GMC. The second is put on 01-06 z71 trucks, both Chevy and GMC. Period.

Re: Whats the deal with Z71 decals on NBS trucks?

They must have made a mid year change on the decals, my buddy's 2000 Xcab(4 door) had the second one on his.

A 2wd drive Z71 is pointless. plus i have never seen a 2wd Z71.. The Z71 is a off road package for the 4x4's. Includes: Skid Plates and stiffer shocks.. that's it.. which I think sucks.. you would think they would offer bigger tires and maybe an extra inch or two suspension lift.
