Question Brake pad warning light-URGENT!!

The brake pad warning light in the istrument panel went on so I repalced the front pads and the sensor. The light is still on. The rear brakes are fine. Does the light have to be reset by the dealer or is there something I am missing here?

brakes

check your rear sensor also just disconnect your front sensor the way it works is when you apply the brake the sensor when the brake pads are worn complete a circuit(short) through the rotor causing the light to come on. so if you disconnect one or both sensors and the light is still on it's probalbly a computer problem

Actually, I finally got a BMW dealer to tell me the trick. After replacing the sensor, I had to trun the ignition to the "on" postition without turning the starter and leave it for about 5 minutes, and it reset the warning light in the dash. It worked!!
