fuel filter replacement on 2002 ford expedition

is there a trick to changing out the fuel filter on this vehicle...i climbed underneath and removed the clips and tried to pull the lines off the old filter and couldnt get them to budge...the filter will spin on the lines, but just wont let go...any suggestions

you probably need the "special tool" to disconnect those fuel lines from the filter.

There is a special tool that you can buy at any parts store. I bought one from Autozone cost about 8 bucks. Its a pack of about 5 or 6 plastic disks with a section cut out of them so you can put them around the fuel line it has a lip on the edge that you press into the connector and it releases the spring that is holding the filter. They will also work on AC hoses to.
