2006 crewcab headlights....walkerracing 02-06-2006, 09:40 PM Just wondering if anybody has had any experience with the sylvania silverstar bulbs. Thinking about upgrading high and low beam bulbs to them. Any info or input before I spend $100 would be appreciated. This is my first post on this web site so Hello and thanks in advance for any replies. silveradoking 02-06-2006, 10:37 PM I would recommend the silverstars, much brighter lights......I have them in my truck for the past 2 years and still running strong......By the way, they cost about $50CDN for all 4 bulbs.......so I don't know where you $100 Americanos........ kenny-1907 02-07-2006, 10:35 AM I say go for it, like silveradoking said they are alot brighter than the regular bulbs and make a big difference especially if you have done or will do the 4 headlight mod. I guess it all depends on where you live in Canada as well because they are $25 a bulb (9005 + 9006) plus tax here and that is from two different stores. silveradoking 02-07-2006, 05:29 PM Nah, man.....I get them from crappy tire, and they have the bulbs on special almost every week...... kenny-1907 02-07-2006, 08:27 PM As i mentioned, the price here at 2 different stores was $25 per bulb and one of those places is Canadian tire, the other being wal-mart. I have never seen them go on sale here unfortunately. spackelman 02-09-2006, 01:31 PM yea, do it. just watch for sales. bought mine at pep boys. 2 days later, they were on sale at advance auto. big difference in light horse482 02-09-2006, 04:46 PM Wagner puts out a light called TruView and they are the same type of bulb and I think they work as good. I have them in both of my trucks and love them, much better light than regular bulbs. I paid about 15.50 each. jers99z 02-09-2006, 06:32 PM I got the silverstars in my truck and love them. I liked em so much i put them in my Dodge Magnum also. Highly recommend them but yes watch for sales. they do get pricey walkerracing 02-09-2006, 07:08 PM Thanks for all the response on this topic. I have tried the tru view bulbs in my yukon and I wasnt really that impressed with them.
