on inclines my tahoe begins to shudder violently until I back off the accelerator. Can anyone help or tell me of a web site that can?

Thumbs up Fix for the shutter

Had the same problem, Do you have a K&N filter? If so Ckeck the Mass air flow sensor between filterbox and intake. Oil from filter can coat sensors giving them false reading undetectable in engine codes. Spray a little carb cleaner on three small horizontal wires( look like lightbulb filements) running between vertical bars. Worked wonders on mine.

Did this work?

I am having the same problem with my 1999 GMC Yukon. No one has been able to tell me what it is. They replaced a U-Joint, but that did not fix it. It makes a really load whirring/roaring noise along with the shake any time I am over 55-60MPH it happens. It is not the tires because it only happens when I am pressing the gas pedal.

Re: 99 tahoe problems

I have a "roaring noise when I back off the accelorator partially. Did that happen to you?

Also the shutterring happens when going uphill under a load.

I was told to ck the vacume booster on master cylinder since it seems that the roar is coming from behind the left vent/tach area. And that the shutter may be from the brakes pulsating (ie. abs)
