is there a 3.8 ltr that would fit into a 1990 lumina 2 dr coupe? if so what would it take to put it in?

It can be done, i saw a 90 Z24 Cavilear with one transplanted into it.
Lots of work, cutting, welding, wiring harness/computer changes, on and on. Not a easy job.. Easier to get a 3.4

If you could find a wrecked 91-93 regal as a donor car, everything you'd need is there. They put the 3800 in the regals, but not the Grand Prix. The only difficulty you may run into is the trans. Your 90 came only with the vacuum shifted trans. The Regals were offered with both vacuum and electronic shifted trans's. If the trans doesn't match, it will mess up the speed sensor signal, as the two use different, non-compatable types of vehicle speed sensor. There is a LOT of work invloved in this swap, you'll have to decide if it's worth it.
