Down to 6 cars
Ok guys I have taken in people suggestions and I have my list of 6 cars I am considering buying
Its gonna happen either Feb 20-25 (spring break) or end of April...I know this probably should be in the car comparisons forum, but I respect your opinions and tendencies towards fun-to-drive cars
So here goes
1997 Acura Integra GSR - Its really at the top of my list, and probably will be the one I purchase if I can find a good one. I have no reason NOT to buy the car
1997 Mazda Mx-6 - fun little sporty 2-door car, its inexpensive, and I like Mazdas...Reliability is a serious question
2001 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 - least expensive car of the group, cheap to fix, looks decent, good on insurance
1999 VW GTI - quick little car, fun to drive, not too expensive...
1998 Toyota Celica GT-S - Its a girls car, no matter how I try to look at its reliability, it being a quick little 2 door, with a nice 5-speed, its resale value...Im gonna have alot of trouble buying this car
1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX - Serious availability problems in Canada so I might end up paying more than its worth... Reliability? My msn conversation with my buddy who's a mechanic
Him: i have one for you... ppl who consider buying a DSM pack (explitive deleted)
Me: hey...my dsm would KILL you
Him: hahha probably.. all the work required ripping apart the motor and electrical systems on a daily basis would tire me to death
Me: yeah...at least mine can start!
Him: yeah well at least myne will get more than a block away from my house *when it starts* before breaking down and have to push it back to my driveway. at least you'll get a good work out. all the walking to and fromt he bus stops because the motor continuously breaks.. or pushing it up hills because the electrical system is retarded like a kid with downsyndrome and ADD all in one
Really not sure about the reliability

Re: Down to 6 cars
i'd go with the integra. everyone i know that had one loved it and it's probably the fastest of the group after the eclipse.

Re: Down to 6 cars
I would hands down go with the GTI, its real easy to make that into a fast lil car. You may have to deal with a window into your door but that motor will run good and strong a long time.

Re: Down to 6 cars
ehh im prolly the only person who would vote for a cavalier. But they can be made reliable and fast for pretty cheap with boost. No to mention they are getting a really good tunning software from HPtuners whenever they finally release it. . .

Re: Down to 6 cars
GSR. Honda reliability period. Cheap and big aftermarket. You'll be happy.

Re: Down to 6 cars
I'd get either the GTI or the Integra. The GTI is more likely to have electrical or minor mechanical problems (like door locks), and the Integra is more likely to be stolen.

Re: Down to 6 cars
GSR, and make sure you have some sort of anti theft device, even if it doesnt actually prevent theft

Yeah, that makes sense.
Unless you're refering to LoJack.
