oh yea, do u want to make ur 626 fast? cuz you could get an engine swap, the v6 fits in the 4 banger, if you have that. I dont know if you do or not and whether you have stick or auto, but its a thought.

OK you will not find much listed for the 98-02 626 2.0L I4 so look at performance parts for the 2.0L protege as far as the engine is concerned, The engines are the same but not exactly the same nor is the engine bay lay out. intakes and turbos designed for the 2.0L Protege would work on your car if you could fit the under the hood. some items from the 93-97 may fit your car but you have the be the first to find out.

J-spec CAMSHAFT, INTAKE this intake cam from the Japanese Sport 20 will add 12 hp to your FS engine. Not smog legal. Mazda motorsport part

I also have a 91 626 besides my crx for my street car, and as far as mods go it is very hard to do. But I give all 626 impoters mad respect, to be different. As far as my modificatiosn went I pretty much did everythign custom. I went with just an intake filter but you have to get a adaptor to fit it on the os sensor. The filter will do just as much as a full intake, I recommend either RS Akimotor or Ractive both very good. And for my exhaust I did custom 2 1/2 pipe wiht muffler, dont go cheap on the muffler or it sounds similar to a bean can honda lol. Suspension I used Suspension Techniques from the MX 6 they are simialr. I dont know how much that will help you guys out, but my remmendation is to do it mostly custom. Good Luck.

good advice crx....you should join the mazda community at mazdaworld.org, its a great site full of mazda lovers ...and u can talk to the ppl about making their own mods custom, because 626 drivers over there dont seem to understand that!
