I have the H/K sound system and am looking for someplace to get OEM (and possibly non-OEM) replacement speakers for both doors. The outside of the speaker grills are beginning to peel off. Can I get replacement grills anywhere, or do I have to replace the entire speaker to get the grills? I don't remember the door speaker setup exactly, but I seem to recall that these are around 3 1/4" in the middle of the door????

I've searched for days and cannot find any anywhere. New BMW owner, so if I'm missing something here, please inform me. Thanks.

Avoid buying the factory OEM speakers, they're not that great. You can buy the Grill separate from the speaker. Post up some pictures.

Thanks for the reply...actually, after looking around the last couple of weeks, I think I've come to the conclusion that I do not need new speakers (they work fine), but really, just the ring around the grill.

I'm still not sure whether the ring is a piece separate from the grill or not. I'll post some pictures when I get home and can take them. But if you know whether the ring is separate and where I can get them, please let me know.

OK, here's a picture. This is the mid-range speaker in the middle of the door on the H/K system. See how there's a ring around the grill that is coming off? I need that piece (if it comes by itself). I first assumed it was part of the speaker - but now I'm not so sure.

Someone let me know if I can get just the ring, or if it is part of the grill, or if it's part of the speaker. It's really making my interior look crappy - it's the only thing on the whole car that needs to be fixed.

No, haven't got any yet. But I did learn that the ring is part of the speaker housing. Bad part is, from what I understand, that you can't get the housing without the speaker, so it looks like you have to buy the entire speaker.

And I can't find anywhere to get a replacement for my model. Part number is:

65138368243

But note that this is for the H/K system - there's a different part number for the non H/K. And this is also for the black. Other colors have different part numbers. This site is actually helpful:
