My friend has an automatic 95 Civic EX. He's planning on going turbo in the near future. We were both wondering if he would need to upgrade his transmission, and if so, in what ways? Also, is auto + turbo an ok combination?

turbo with an auto is perfectly fine, and in some cases, preferred. with a civic tranny though, it is not always the choice of people that like to race. you can upgrade your tranny to a level 10 something which i cant remember because of captain morgan, but that will give you faster and harder shifts. it will not be something which would be considered suitable for everyday driving, but it is something that a person could live with, if so inclined. a turbo is fine for any car though, and i say go for it and good luck.

rebuild tranny w/ Level Ten parts, or don't go above 300hp.
