Radio/dome.

I have a 2000 Silverado. As you know the Radio will shut off when you attempt to open the either door. In my case when you open the driver side door only it will not. It will stay on until the 10 min timer runs out.. Also when you open the driver door the dome light does not come on. Does anybody have any thoughts as to what it could be? I was thinking prehaps a fuse. the Fuses in the cab appear to be ok.. the ones under the hood appear to be ok accept for the ones I can not see though.

Re: Radio/dome.

Considering that the dome light does not come on when you open the door either, my money is on the dome light switch. As for where they are located i am not sure, only that i know that they are not in the same place on the jamb like they used to be.
