As you are probably aware from a previous post, I own a 92, E36 316i.

For some reason, the electric window buttons do NOT illuminate like the rest of the dash when I turn my lights on, thus, making them difficult to find during the evening.

Haven't you push the window power locking button. Have you?

:nono:

PD: The second square button at the left line, under the driver's window control button.

yeh, I pushed the window locking button to the right of my steering wheel underneath, but the windows still work.....I only pushed that button when i had another problem, and didnt want them to be used. I pushed the button back in, and the windows work fine, yet the buttons DO NOT ILLUMINATE is this because of the button I pressed????

They still don't iluminate even when they work fine? Hmmm.. should be some easy contact cleannig what you need on the main window controller cable plug. If you are not too electrical skilled, take it to a electric guy. One of the cables that bring lights up is just not doing its work.

My question was because, when you activate the main window lock button, lights turn off indicating those buttons are not available at the time.

This is my best guess about it pal. Take an eye on it.
